Social Justice and Empowerment Minister launches Anuja Nigam Loan Portal for the year 2024-25

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot inaugurated the Anuja Nigam Loan Portal for the financial year 2024-25 at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday.

Avinash Gehlot said that loans are provided every year by Anuja Nigam to persons of five categories Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Safai Karamcharis, Divyangjan and Other Backward Classes at concessional interest rates. He said that a target has been set to provide loans to 9400 persons in the financial year 2024-25. Loans will be provided to 5400 persons through National Corporations and 4000 persons through banks.

He said that any person can apply for a loan online from any place through his SSO ID or e-Mitra. The loan amount will be transferred directly to the account of the concerned person through DBT. This portal will remain open till 30 September 2024.

Avinash Gehlot said that loans are provided to the beneficiaries through banks under the Scheduled Castes POP Scheme and Scheduled Tribes POP Scheme by Anuja Nigam. Under the Pradhan Mantri Scheduled Castes Abhudaya Yojana (PM AJAY), Scheduled Caste borrowers are sanctioned a grant of 50 percent of the project cost or a maximum of Rs 50,000.

He said that through the portal, applications of 2000 persons from Scheduled Castes, 1000 from Scheduled Tribes, 1000 from Safai Karamcharis, 600 from Divyang Jans and 800 from Other Backward Classes will be taken. 4000 persons will be benefited in Scheduled Castes POP Scheme and Scheduled Tribes POP Scheme through banks.

The Social Justice and Empowerment Minister directed that along with the administrative approval of the loan portal, efforts should be made to provide financial approval and DBT at the district level.

Additional Chief Secretary Social Justice and Empowerment Kuldeep Ranka said that all the work is being done online in Anuja Nigam Loan Portal. He described this portal as useful for all schemes.

During this time, Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Department Ghanendra Bhan Chaturvedi, Managing Director of Anuja Nigam Mamta Rao and General Manager Sheeshram Chawla along with other senior officials were present.
