Sadhguru disapproves of ‘A’ certificate for Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2

Sadhguru has expressed his disapproval of the ‘A’ certificate that has been given to Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Oh My God 2. The film, which is a sequel to the 2012 hit film Oh My God, stars Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles.

In a recent tweet, Sadhguru said, “‘A’ Certificate in this case should include Adolescents. That’s where it matters most. Education about understanding human biology and responding to the biological needs of an individual in a dignified and responsible way is very needed to build a Nation that is Fair & Just to all involved. -Sg #OMG2.”

Sadhguru’s tweet comes after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave OMG 2 an ‘A’ certificate, which means that the film is only suitable for adults. The CBFC cited “sexual content” and “strong language” as the reasons for giving the film an ‘A’ certificate.

Akshay Kumar has acknowledged Sadhguru’s viewpoint and replied, “Thank you so much @SadhguruJV. Hope the message reaches far and wide, in the right spirit.”

OMG 2 is a comedy-drama film that explores the themes of religion, faith, and superstition. The film is directed by Amit Rai and is scheduled to be released on July 29, 2023.
