Om Birla is NDA's official candidate for Lok Sabha Speaker

New Delhi, June 24. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Kota-Bundi MP Om Birla has been declared the official candidate for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Om Birla, who has previously taken various reformative steps during his tenure as Lok Sabha Speaker and conducted the proceedings of the House in a systematic manner, has been re-elected for this important post on the basis of his excellent performance and experience.

A BJP spokesperson said that honoring Om Birla for the work done in his previous tenure and his dedication, he has been nominated for this post again. Under his leadership, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha are expected to run in a more effective and transparent manner.

After this announcement, Om Birla thanked the NDA leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and assured that he would discharge his duties with full devotion and honesty. He said that he would continue to work with all the members of the House for the strengthening of democracy.
