More than 66,000 Government Schools in Rajasthan to create history on Saturday Unique Initiative of Rajasthan Government to Develop Understanding among 6 million Students about 'Unsafe Touch'
The Department of School Education with an objective to develop the understanding among children about 'Good Touch-Bad Touch' and to make the society free from child abuse' will be organizing a special campaign 'Surakshit School- Surakshit Rajasthan' on Saturday (August 26, 2023) in more than 66,000 Government Schools. More than 6 million students will be trained about the 'Good Touch-Bad Touch' from 8am to 12 noon. 
 
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has appreciated this campaign being run in the schools. He has appealed to all the trainers (trained teachers) to take extra pain in spreading this much-required awareness and knowledge in order to create a safety circle around innocent children of the State. He expressed his full confidence that if all the schools take up such sessions and repeat it twice in next 6 months then instances of child abuse can be substantially reduced.
 
Department School Education Secretary Shri Naveen Jain said that this session will be organized on Saturday for the students studying across all the government schools in the state, including primary, middle and senior secondary schools along with all Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools, Kasturba Gandhi Girls' Residential Schools and Swami Vivekananda Model Schools. Extensive arrangements have been made for this ambitious one-day program, which is going to be held across all the schools in the state. He said that recently 1200 officers and personnel in the state were specially trained about 'Good Touch-Bad Touch'. These master trainers further trained teachers in the government schools in all the 50 districts. These special trainers (teachers) on Saturday, which is also 'No Bag Day', will aware the students about 'Unsafe Touch'. Later, repeat sessions under this campaign will be organized in October and January in all the schools in the second and third phase.
The Secretary said that the heads of the institutions have been made the nodal officer of the program. These officers will immediately update the information on the module of Shala Darpan after the programme concludes. The activities of this campaign will be monitored by the officers from all the districts.
