Jodhpur: Special Stop Diarrhea campaign started for prevention of diarrhea

The Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare will run a special Stop Diarrhea campaign from July 1 to August 31. In this regard, a detailed guideline has been issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Jodhpur Rural, Dr. Pratap Singh Rathore said that this time the theme has been kept as "Prevention of diarrhea, cleanliness and take care of yourself with ORS". He said that this campaign will run for 8 weeks, in which Asha workers will survey children up to 5 years of age by going door to door and distribute ORS packets and zinc tablets.

Deputy Chief Medical and Health Officer Jodhpur Rural, Dr. Pritam Singh Sankhla said that ORS Zinc Corners will be set up at all government hospitals, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and Anganwadi centers. During this time, patients and their families coming for treatment will be made aware of the symptoms and prevention of diarrhea. With the help of these corners, free distribution of ORS and zinc tablets will also be done as per the need.

Before the campaign, ORS, IV fluid and zinc tablets will be supplied to all government medical institutions to speed up the diarrhea control campaign. He said that apart from the Medical and Health Department, the cooperation of the Education Department, Women and Child Development Department, Rural Development Department, Water Supply Department and Municipal Corporation will also be taken in this campaign.
