India Women Tie Series Against Bangladesh Women Despite Late Collapse
India Women and Bangladesh Women tied the three-match ODI series 1-1 after the final match ended in a thrilling tie on Saturday.
Bangladesh Women batted first and posted a challenging 225 for 9 on the back of Fargana Hoque's century. Hoque scored 107 off 160 balls and was the only Bangladesh batter to reach 50.
India Women started the chase well and were cruising at 191 for 3 in the 39th over. However, they collapsed in the final eight overs, losing six wickets for just 34 runs.
In the end, India Women were all out for 225 in 50 overs, tying the match.
The Indian bowlers were once again impressive, taking nine wickets for 225. Pooja Vastrakar was the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets for 32 runs.
The Indian batters struggled against spin in the final overs, and they will need to address this issue ahead of the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
