IIT Bombay Enters Top 150 List in QS World Ranking; Oxford & Harvard in Top Five
IIT Bombay, an Indian university, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 149th rank globally in the latest edition of the QS World University Ranking. This marks the first time in eight years that an Indian university has made it to the top 150 list. The ranking demonstrates IIT Bombay's impressive progress as it climbed 23 positions from its previous rank of 172. In 2016, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore had secured the 147th rank.
Among other major Indian institutes, IIT Delhi improved its position, ranking 174 in the 2023 QS rankings compared to 197 last year. IISc secured the 155th position, showcasing its continued presence among the top-ranked institutions. University of Delhi obtained a ranking of 407.
In the global academic landscape, Oxford and Harvard Universities both emerged as top contenders, securing positions in the top five of the QS World University Ranking.
