Fifth Board of Investment Meeting Proposals Totalling Rs 24,681 Crore Approved, Over 10,000 Jobs to be Created in State

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday presided over the fifth meeting of the Board of Investment at the Chief Minister's residence. Seven investment proposals totaling Rs 24,681 crore have been approved, promising to infuse vitality into the state's economy. These forward-looking investments are projected to generate employment opportunities for over 10,000 individuals, further strengthening the socio-economic fabric of the state.
Gehlot said that through initiatives such as the MSME Policy, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-2019), RIPS 2022, Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy-2019, One Stop Shop System, and the Single Window System, Rajasthan has evolved into a promising destination for entrepreneurs and investors alike. This pragmatic approach has culminated in a surge in investment and employment within the state, reinforcing its position as an economic powerhouse.
The Chief Minister articulated the pivotal role that industrial development and increased investment play in the ambitious Mission 2030. As part of the mission, the state aspires to elevate its GDP by approximately two-and-a-half times to reach Rs 35.71 lakh crore by 2030. From Rs 9.11 lakh crore in 2018-19, Rajasthan's GDP has already progressed to around Rs 14.14 lakh crore today.
Gehlot also highlighted the vast potential of solar energy in the state, emphasizing the establishment of solar parks to harness this renewable resource. He encouraged the exploration of opportunities for local production units of solar components like modules and photovoltaic cells, foreseeing increased revenue, enhanced employment prospects, and greater accessibility of crucial modules and components for solar park enterprises.
It's worth noting that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot presides as the chairman of this board, which operates under the One Stop Shop system to expedite investment approvals. The Industries Minister is the vice-chairman.
The approved projects span a spectrum of industries, including solar cells and modules, auto components, juice and dairy products, and cement.
Following are the proposals approved:
1. Kamlesh Metacast Private Limited: A groundbreaking project encompassing 1.65 MTPA Clinker, 2.2 MTPA Cement, and a 35 MW Captive Solar Plant. Investment: Rs 1715 crore. Employment: 825 individuals. Location: Pindwara, Sirohi district.
2. Hindustan Zinc Fertilizer Private Limited: A transformative initiative focused on a 0.51 MTPA Fertilizer Complex (Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) & NPK Fertilizers). Investment: Rs 1655 crore. Employment: 820 individuals. Location: Gangrar, Chittorgarh district.
3. WAAREE Energies Limited: An ambitious endeavor encompassing ingots, wafers, solar cells, and solar modules (12 GW capacity in two phases). Investment: Rs 15,750 crore. Employment: 3800 individuals. Location: Kankani Industrial Area, Jodhpur District.
4. JSW Renewable Technologies Limited: A transformative initiative focusing on ingots, wafers, solar cells, and solar modules (1 GW capacity). Investment: Rs 1674 crore. Employment: 1880 individuals. Location: Barmer.
5. Baxi Group: A dynamic project focused on auto components. Investment: Rs 1005 crore. Employment: 2000 individuals. Locations: Bhiwadi & Neemrana Industrial Area.
6. Kandhari Global Beverages Private Limited: A comprehensive integrated facility for Coca-Cola branded juices and dairy products. Investment: Rs 1010 crore. Employment: 805 individuals. Location: Bundi district.
7. Shree Cement Limited: A transformative initiative comprising an Integrated Project of 3 MTPA Clinker and 4.4 MTPA Cement Plant. Investment: Rs 1872 crore. Employment: 500 individuals. Location: Jaitaran, Beawar district.
During the meeting, Industry and Commerce Minister Shakuntala Rawat, Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Industries and Commerce Veenu Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary, Energy, Bhaskar A. Sawant, Chairman of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Shri Ashutosh A T Pednekar, Commissioner of BIP Om Kasera and other officials were present.
