After the sensitive initiative of the Medical Minister, the medical teachers of Rajmes returned to work

After the sensitive initiative of Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, the medical teachers of 17 medical colleges operating under Rajmes returned to work on Monday evening. These medical teachers were on mass leave for about a week over various demands.

The Medical Minister has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Director, Rajmes to take a positive and sympathetic decision on the demands of these medical teachers. The committee will include Additional Director (Administration), Financial Advisor, Additional Director (Academics) of Rajmes and 4 nominated members of Rajasthan Medical College Teachers Association Welfare Society.

The medical teachers decided to return to work after positive action on the demands and have expressed gratitude to Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Additional Chief Secretary of Medical Education Department Shubhra Singh and Medical Education Commissioner Iqbal Khan.

The Additional Chief Secretary informed that the Finance Department is in the process of providing the same salary and allowances as the doctor teachers appointed under the Rajasthan Medical Education Rules, 1962, promotion as per the DACP scheme and pay scale determined from time to time to the doctor teachers appointed in the medical colleges run under Rajmes on or after August 1, 2024. This committee has been constituted to take appropriate decision regarding applying the same rule to the currently working doctor teachers. This committee will submit its report to the Finance Department through the Administrative Department in one month regarding the settlement of the demands of the currently working doctor teachers.

The Medical Education Commissioner informed that the leaves taken by the doctor teachers during the mass leave will be adjusted in casual leave, day off or government holidays. For this, the concerned doctor teacher will have to apply.
