A meeting of Rajasthan Victim Compensation Scheme, Legal Aid and Under Trial Examination Committee was organized

A meeting of the Rajasthan Victim Compensation Scheme, honorarium payable to advocates under legal aid and under trial examination committee was organized on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chandra Prakash Shrimali, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (District and Session Judge), Jaipur Mahanagar II. In the meeting, Pallavi Sharma, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (Additional District and Session Judge), Jaipur Mahanagar II said that the meeting has been organized in compliance with the various guidelines given in the action plan issued by the Honorable Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority.

A total of 32 applications were placed in the meeting under the Victim Compensation Scheme, on which compensation amount / award was passed after discussion by the chairman and members of the committee. During the meeting, an award of a total amount of 14 lakh 25000 was passed in victim compensation. Along with this, necessary action was also taken regarding the honorarium payable to the advocates appointed under legal aid and orders for honorarium payable to the advocates as per rules were issued. Besides this, instructions and orders were given to recommend the release of under trial prisoners lodged in jails under various categories and send them to the concerned courts.
