1500 kg fake ghee caught in Jaipur, action taken against Shri Ram Milk Food

On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and the instructions of Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, a continuous campaign is being run against adulteration in the state. Action was taken at various places on Tuesday under the direction of Food Safety Commissioner Iqbal Khan. Additional Commissioner Pankaj Ojha said that the Food Safety Team took action against the Srinath Pickle Factory near Apex Circle in Malviya Nagar Industrial Area. Many deficiencies were found during the inspection here. Along with the cleanliness in the factory being unsatisfactory, chemicals without manufacturing date were found. 81 tins of 18 kg each of Amla Murabba and 120 tins of 15 kg each of Red Chilli Pickle were kept on the spot in the factory. The seller said that these were bought from Hathras, but no manufacturing date, name of the manufacturer etc. information was mentioned on them. The goods were seized after taking samples under the Food Safety and Standards Act. Similarly, 10 bags of red chilli powder were found in the factory, which contained 500 kg of red chilli powder, which was being used to make pickles. On apprehension of deficiency in the quality of this chilli powder, a sample was taken and the red chilli powder was also seized. About 100 kg of raw mango pickle was kept in a plastic drum at the spot, which was covered with fungus. It was destroyed on the spot. Apart from this, one sample each of vegetable sauce and mixed pickle was also taken from the spot for investigation, on receipt of the investigation report of which action will be taken as per rules. A notice has been issued under Section 32 on the deficiencies found on the spot. If this is not followed, action will be taken to cancel the food license. Food Safety Officers Deepak Sindhi, Ramesh Yadav, Rajesh Nagar and Nandkishore Kumawat were present in the team.

Similarly, in the second major action, 1500 kg of fake ghee was caught. The Additional Commissioner said that on secret information, the team of the Food Department reached Intercity Travels, Polo Victory. When the food safety officers of the team, Mr. Naresh Chejara and Mr. Ratan Godara reached the spot, they found that 1500 kg of fake ghee, costing Rs. 290 per kg, was manufactured in Indore and was brought by Shri Ram Milk Food to Pink City Tower on Jhotwara Road in Jaipur. It was to be sold in Jaipur city. This fake ghee was being brought through travel buses. The fake ghee has been seized.

Ghee was being manufactured by Shri Ram Milk Food in the name of Milk Cream Mother's Choice and Milk Cream. Ghee was being manufactured in Indore by Shri Ram Milk for Dairy Industries and was being brought through travel buses to Jhotwara by a firm under another name and sold.
